Did you hear? The folks at Cameron Highlands are finally getting their first ever McDonald’s outlet after all these years!
Penang Kini made the announcement on its Facebook page, with several snapshots showing the construction work taking place.
It is understood that the first Mekdi outlet in Cameron Highlands will be located at Pekan Brinchang. Although details about the new fast food restaurant are still scarce at the moment, locals are hopeful that it will be launched in the coming months.
For the longest time, the only other fast food restaurants in the vicinity have been KFC in Brinchang, together with Marrybrown and Pizzarella in Tanah Rata. The debut of McDonald’s in Cameron Highlands will certainly widen the competition.
Looking the comments, many are expressing their wishful thoughts that maybe the new McDonald’s restaurant will offer something different – perhaps like a McChicken Strawberry? “That’s good.. It’s better than none. After this, they can promote products that are sourced locally from the best farms in Cameron.. For instance strawberry burgers or green tea milk mocha, hashbrowns with corns, mushroom porridge..” someone wrote.
To quote KL Foodie, it’ll be great if this particular outlet will be to curate its own personalised menu using organic ingredients that are sourced locally.
