Although it focuses mainly on Malaysian food, it also has family favourites from Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. “SedapTV was created to bring delicious Malaysian recipes and Malaysian food to the world through various platforms,” Elyna Effendi, Managing Director of SedapTV stated. “SedapTV goes beyond just creating great content but also ultimately supporting an industry.”
Its most recent addition is the SedapTV kit, which has pre-portioned ingredients for selected SedapTV recipes. With the ongoing pandemic and the naturally hectic lifestyle most have today, this meal kit is the answer to having delicious home-cooked meal for only RM19 to RM26. It’s easy to order and can be delivered within 4 hours, terms and conditions apply of course.
As the amount of ingredients are pre-measured for 2-3 pax, there is no wastage. Currently available on the SedapTV Meal Kit menu are Salted Egg Butter Chicken, Eggplant Sambal, Fishball Soup, Steamed Chicken with Ginger and Pudding Batik. More recipes are being added to the menu monthly.
SedapTV will also be launching an app soon that aims to be a convenient one-stop-shop for everything food-related. According to Elyna Effendi, SedapTV plans on broadening their content to cover a regional market. They hope to add more regional and international cuisine as well as encourage user-generated content. They also plan to expand the menu and distribution of the meal kits as it is currently only available in Klang Valley.
They have collaborated with food industry brands like MyChef, Thermomix and Mahsuri, and are looking forward to working with others in the future. For instance, starting 18th February, Mahsuri is giving away 145ml bottles of Kicap Manis Pedas for the first 60 orders of any SedapTV Meal Kits.
