Police have already recorded statements from Neelofa‘s family members over possible breaches of the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) at her wedding ceremony with hubby PU Riz which was held last weekend, The Star reported earlier on Tuesday (30th March).
Apparently, the controversy has also taken a huge toll on celebrity couple Awal Ashaari and Scha Alyahya, who have expressed their upmost concerns about being investigated by the cops. For those who don’t know, the married duo were also in attendance at the grand wedding.
Awal recently took to his Instagram to talk about the ongoing issue, and at the same time hoped they are not embroiled in the issue that is still under investigation by the authorities. “Don’t investigate me and my flower (Scha), please. We wore our face masks all the time, except when we took our picture and also when we had our meals because we don’t have curtains (niqab) attached to our faces just like the bride,” the “Melodi” host joked.
At the same time, Awal also took the opportunity to wish both Lofa and the “Pelindung Seorang Puteri” actor a happy marriage. Meanwhile, “Awan Dania” actress could also be seen posting the same photo with an alternated caption, which reads, “One flower has been picked by a beetle named Awal, While the other one has been picked by Haris,” before she added, “Sorry for stealing your caption, @awalashaari.”
In case you missed it, Neelofa’s PA, Nadiah Khairuddin, in addition to Faiz Sabari, the founder of the bridal shop Reka Teemor, who was in charge of the wedding ceremony, were also spotted present at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters to testify on the case yesterday (Tuesday, 30th March). Though, the duo refused to comment further on the allegations of them flouting the SOPs.
