Now you see it, now you don’t. Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia caused quite the commotion when it supposedly launched its social media accounts.
As expected, with the recent premieres of Marvel series – “WandaVision” as well as “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” – many have been anticipating the launch of Disney Plus on our local shores.

Unfortunately, the aforementioned socials went offline soon after it made headlines. Needless to say, it left the public confused. Is Disney Plus Malaysia coming really soon? We’re keeping our fingers crossed. This morning (Wednesday, 24th March) Twitter users @muhdraziqq_ and @itzwiin informed our friends at Lowyat.net on the reemergence of Disney Plus’ socials.
The image showing the word “Loading” that was uploaded on 22nd January was still up. Sadly, after 11am, both the post and accounts disappeared once again. Just a few weeks ago, we got wind that the annual subscription price for Malaysia is RM 89.90. In comparison, India charges INR 1,499 (~RM 84.92), IDR 199,000 (~RM 56.94) in Indonesia, S$11.98 a month or S$119.98 a year in Singapore.
Hopefully, we’ll get an answer on Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia real soon ;)
