Pepsi Holds First-Ever Augmented Reality Concert In Malaysia

Pepsi is breaking new ground again by transforming Malaysia’s music experience with its first-ever Augmented Reality (AR) Concert in the country, starting from 16th April 2021, exclusively for Pepsi fans.

Senior Marketing Director APAC of PepsiCo, Salman Butt, stated, “At PepsiCo, music is a key way for us to connect with our fans, and we know that music lovers in Malaysia have been missing the concert experience for over a year due to the pandemic.”

Voted as the most popular female artist (Artis Top Top Meletop Wanita) in the Anugerah MeleTOP Era 2020 by music fans, Siti Nordiana headed the concert that provides fans the chance to watch her perform her latest song while also showcasing the talents of freestyle footballer Aidil, dancer Bell, and singer Syafeek.

During the #PepsiBoldTalent audition challenge, the three talents have shone and stuck out in a pool of more than 3,000 audition videos. The trio’s entries pulled in the highest number of engagements, resulting in them claiming victory in the #PepsiBoldTalent competition.

The talented young talents are passionate about improving their talents and showcasing their love for performance with fans in order to help them dream big for the future. You have the talented 22-year-old self-taught dancer Bell, who’s been dancing for three years in hopes of using the exposure to emulate the success of her performance heroes.

Additionally, there’s the freestyle football talent Aidil, who wishes to raise awareness of freestyle football. Interestingly enough, the 22-year-old is also a professional graphic designer but has been freestyling football for about eight years. Aidil hones his talents by practicing more than seven hours a day during weekends.

Plus, the concert also features singer Syafeek, who found his talent while learning engineering in France. Syafeek hopes this exposure will contribute to greater success for himself as a singer. He’s also performed at corporate functions and partook in singing competitions since 2012. Furthermore, he’s won the i-SiNG World competition in Paris in 2018.
