A blue-colored macaw named Jessie got stuck on a roof for three days, after escaping her owner’s home in Edmonton, London. When firefighters came to rescue Jessie, the foul-mouthed parrot told them to f*ck off.
A team of firefighters from the Green Watch team at Edmonton fire station, lead by Chris Swallow, arrived at Cuckoo Hall Lane in order to rescue the bird. The team had to face a very unexpected and amusing situation when negotiating with the bird.

The owners told the firefighters that in order to bond with the bird, they have to tell her ‘I love you’. That’s exactly what the crew manager did. Both Jessie and her owner speak Turkish and Greek. Therefore, the rescuers tried calling the bird, telling her to “come” in both those languages. But little did they know, the bird had a bit of a potty-mouth. Everybody was amused when the macaw started to swear. She even told “f*ck off” to the firefighters that tried to rescue her.

Fortunately, Chris Swallow and the team somehow rescued the bird. Much to everyone’s relief, the macaw was completely fine, and she did not suffer any injuries. After she was rescued from the roof, Jessie immediately took a flight to another roof. After that, she flew to a nearby tree. Jessie is safe at home at the moment.

The fire brigade requested the general public to call only the emergency services if the RSPCA is unavailable, to deal with trapped animals. Later, Jessie’s owner sent the firefighters a video of the bird thanking them.
