Appointments for the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine went live today (Sunday, 2nd May). Last Wednesday (28th April), the government announced that the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine will be offered to the public in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor on a voluntarily “first come, first serve” basis.
There were concerns about AstraZeneca where several receivers reported cases of blood clotting. As such, all 268,800 vaccine doses would be designated to vaccination centres (PPV) instead of the mainstream National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

The 4 locations available are:
- World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL)
- Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam (IDCC)
- Dewan 1, Bangunan Peperiksaan, Universiti Malaya (UM)
- Dewan Gemilang, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
Since Khairy Jamaluddin’s recent tweet, all appointments made at UM have been fully snapped up. As at time of writing, there are still slots left at the other 3 venues. Those who have successfully registered through the website, volunteers will received a notification of their vaccination appointment on MySejahtera or via text message.
There was a staging link that was being tested earlier. Bookings before 1200hrs are NOT recorded. Only bookings after 1200hrs are recorded. https://t.co/j4AKHpL6PB
