As expected, Malaysia will be undergoing a tighter MCO 3.0 following the alarming rise in Covid-19 cases and deaths.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob revealed that starting from 25th May (coming Tuesday), a few Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) will be adjusted under the MCO 3.0.

The highlights are as follows:
- An increase of roadblocks will be enforced at all roads
- 80% of government workers to be enforced to work from home
- 40% of private sector workers are enforced to work from home
- All public transportation to limit to 50% capacity only
- High risk places (according to HIDE list) to close effective immediately
As for the economy sectors, the majority can only operate between 8am to 8pm only:
- Restaurants, hawker stalls and food trucks: 8am – 8pm
- Convenience stores: 8am – 8pm
- Laundromats (except self-service laundromats): 8am – 8pm
- Shopping malls: 10am – 8pm
- Hospitals and clinics: 24 hours
- Pharmacies: 8am – 10pm
- Petrol Stations: 8am – 8pm
- Highway Petrol Stations: 24 hours
- Night markets: 4pm – 10pm
