Muslim K-pop Fans Slam Jay Park For Mentioning “Allah” In Song Lyrics

Jay Park (real name Park Jae Beom, 박재범) has become a trending topic in Malaysia this week – due to some controversial reasons!

The K-pop rapper sparked criticisms from Muslim music listeners after he included the name of Muslim God Allah in the lyrics of his song, “Mukbbang (Remix)”.

Many were angered after Jay proclaimed himself to be a “young God” and called for everyone to “worship me like Allah” in the song, which was released back in December last year. In this case, not only was he heavily bashed for allegedly disparaging the Creator, the production team were also slammed for disrespecting the religion.

As a result, a lot of fans, especially Muslims, have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration towards the former 2PM member. “Jay Park is cancelled. Please block or unfollow me if you still choose to follow him. Thanks,” one Twitter user expressed.

“This is the nth time Korean artist disrespecting our religion, and now Jay Park too? What the f**k is wrong with y’all can you respect us at least? We’ve had enough,” another commentator chimed in. Apart from that, there were also a few who called local rapper Joe Flizzow out after they discovered that the former had recently collaborated with the “Girlfriend” singer.

Based on our checking, Jay hasn’t bothered to address the controversy on his official social media accounts.
