In one of the worst disasters of LRT accidents, Rapid KL has been receiving a lot flak for the injuries of over 200 passengers. As a result, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has been sacked as the chairman of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana).
Instead of an apology note, Rapid KL uploaded a thank you post on its social media yesterday. Unsurprisingly, many people were triggered by it and slammed the company. One particular comment on the post has since gone viral online.
For context, the Prasarana management wrote:
“Our deepest thanks,
These are trying times for the Rapid KL community – our passengers, our employees, and our families and friends.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the first responders, the Ministries, members of the media, our friends in the transport industry, and most of all, to our passengers.
Thank you for your patronage, your trust, and your patience. We are all in a tough place right now, but with your love and support, we will make it through the darkness.”
A woman named Amy Tan took to the comments section to reply, “You think you are receiving Grammy Award arr? Thank this, thank that… Your (teacher didn’t) teach you (how to) write apology letter before?!” Her epic retort has been screenshot and shared across social media. Moments later, the post was deleted and replaced with a Happy Wesak Day wish.
Many netizens called Rapid KL out for deleting the previous post. Evidently, this is something people aren’t going to forget anytime soon.
