The MySejahtera app has been receiving a ton of flak due to its interface experience. Despite being launched in April last year, the app hasn’t seen much improvement.
It’s no surprise then that many netizens in Malaysia have been venting their annoyance after encountering several frustrating episodes. Not only have there been cases of Covid-19 vaccine appointments being rescheduled without prior notice, some even got their appointments far from home.
To curb some of the concurrent issues, Shahid Rogers – who is a software engineer and MAE by Maybank2u app developer – recently shared his re-imagination of MySejahtera on his social media. Since his own parents were having difficulty in registering for the Covid-19 vaccine, many other elderly folks are likely going through the same predicament.
Following several discussions with his friends, the local developer came up with a few mock-up designs to tackle the ongoing miscommunications as a result of the ever-changing SOPs by our dear government. While his initial design was centered on a simplified vaccine registration and appointment details, his subsequent mock-ups group-checkins and vaccine education.

We can all agree that the MySejahtera app needs to be more user-friendly and cater to all regardless of their level of knowledge in tech.
