Cristian Marianciuc is a paper artist who set an ambitious goal for himself, which is to 1,000 origami cranes in 1,000 days, in 2015. Even after achieving this goal, Marianciuc continued making origami cranes. Now, he owns an expanding collection of incredible paper sculptures.
Marianciuc’s style of origami is unique, precise, and he has a great eye for details. His use of colors is also very creative. His sculptures are both experimental and elaborate and are a truly imaginative approach to traditional origami. Since he doesn’t undergo the pressure of meeting deadlines or filling quotas, he freely plays around with and explores his artistry.

Marianciuc states that he never stopped folding and decorating new ones. However, he doesn’t create on a daily basis anymore. As a result of these newly found time restraints, Marianciuc focuses on trying out various themes and techniques that he had always wanted to. These newer models are his most ambitious and most incredible creations, and they include more minute details and extremely intricate and precise cuts.

Marianciuc revealed that he will soon start a mini-series. The inspiration behind this mini-series is Japanese folklore. He also assured his audience that he has no plans of stopping his creations. He states that his fascination regarding the art of origami, its symbolism, and history, still remains the same. Also, his obsession with flight, wings, and feathers is also still the same. He also says that creating these stunning origami arts at his own pace is very enjoyable to him and that he can closely listen to his instinct.
