Netflix has unveiled another look of the world of “The Witcher” in “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf” in a new teaser trailer on Wednesday (21st July). The teaser also reveals the first look at the images of the main characters along with the global voice cast.
In this anime origin story, the world of “The Witcher” expands the story about Vesemir, years before the Witcher became the mentor of Geralt of Rivia. Vesemir is a swashbuckling young Witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coins and glory. When a strange monster begins terrorizing a politically-fraught kingdom, Vesemir finds himself on a gruesome adventure that forces him to confront the demons of his past.
“The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf” is written and produced by Beau DeMayo, and co-produced by “The Witcher” Showrunner and Executive Producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Studio Mir’s Kwang Il Han, who is also the director of the film.
Aside from the full teaser reveal, Netflix also shares the first look images of the main characters in addition to revealing the global voice cast that consists of 15 languages from 14 countries around the world. Vesemir grew up as a servant on a nobleman’s estate, working long days for too little coin. He yearns to break free of his social standing and to explore the Continent to find his destiny.
