Happy Meow Day to all cat lovers out there! Celebrated every year on 8th August, the International Cat Day is an event dedicated to raising awareness about these beautiful animals. Hype Malaysia is specially dedicating this space to show just how much Malaysians love their feline friends, and Cartoon Network’s famed cats.
Celebrate with a slew of activities and special programming as Cartoon Network will be completely transformed into Cat-Toon Network – home of Tom and his best cat friends Princess Unikitty, Sylvester, Gumball, Oggy and more!
First off, make your feline famous by showing us how much he or she resembles the superstar cats – and stand a chance to walk away with a special cat sack filled with a Tom/Sylvester beanie, Sylvester & Tweety totebag, cat costume, and a cat toy, worth RM300 each. Meet the world’s most beloved Cat-Toon Network cats!
Tom, a house cat (who needs no introduction!), continues his quest of persistently pursuing and nabbing the world’s most notorious mouse, Jerry in “Tom and Jerry”.
Sylvester James Pussycat, Sr, an anthropomorphic tuxedo cat in the “Looney Tunes Cartoons”, is often seen chasing Tweety, Speedy Gonzales, or Hippety Hopper.
“The Amazing World of Gumball”: A 12-year-old cat, Gumball Watterson, stays in Elmore and has a penchant for getting into trouble along with his best friend, a fish named Darwin.
Princess Unikitty, a hybrid of unicorn and cat, is the ruler of Unikingdom whose only motto is to make her people happy. She and her friends fight against the evil Master Frown from Frown Town, in “Unikitty”!
Lazy cat Oggy in “Oggy and the Cockroaches”, loves to watch TV and eat food. However, his flatmates, who happen to be three tiny cockroaches, enjoy attacking Oggy’s refrigerator and creating a messy situation.
“ThunderCats Roar”: Barely escaping the sudden destruction of their home world, Thundera, Lion-O and the ThunderCats crash land on the mysterious and exotic planet of Third Earth, home to the evil Mumm-Ra and a bizarre host of other creatures and villains.
“Mao Mao, Heroes of Pure Heart”: Sheriff Mao Mao, a daring cat, goes on exciting adventures with his sidekick Badgerclops and friend Adorabat as they protect the citizens of Pure Heart Valley from evil.
