Man Takes His Dying Dog On One Last Adventure Together On A Wheelbarrow

Carlos Fresca has been of 10-year-old Monty, a Labradoodle since he was a pup. They have always loved going on long hikes together, all over the United Kingdom. At the moment, Monty is suffering from Leukaemia, so Carlos took his dying dog one last adventure together, pushing him to the top of Pen y Fan in a wheelbarrow.

The adorable dog first fell ill around 18 months ago. That’s when Carlos knew that only a certain time is left for them to spend time together. Needless to say. he knew exactly what to do, which is making the best use out of the time left by making good memories together.

Carlos states that he started to wheel Monty to the top of Pen y Fan after putting him on a load of blankets. The other walkers were also incredible, and they took turns pushing the wheelbarrow. Monty has always been a sociable dog that truly adored people. Therefore, he enjoyed the little trip a lot. Carlos shares that he was truly moved by the kindness of total strangers who stopped by to say hello and helped him carry Monty to the summit.

Monty’s health started to further decline in the days that followed. A few days later, he passed away at the foot of his owner’s bed. Carlos states that Monty hung on till the day following Father’s Day. He was gone when Carlos looked over from his bed. Carlos states that Monty looked very peaceful and that he’s truly glad about going on one last adventure with Monty.
