Yuna Calls Out FB Group For Spreading Lies About Her Cousin’s Passing

A few days ago, Yunalis Zarai or better known as Yuna took to her Instagram to share the heartbreaking news of her close cousin, Amilya Saila who died from Covid-19. Through the Instagram post, she expressed her sadness over the loss of her beloved cousin who has been like a sister to her.

My heart is shredded into pieces. I love you. You rest now Amilya, but know that you left a mark on all of us,” she wrote in the entry. Yuna also took the opportunity to thank the front liners for their hard work in treating Covid-19 patients as well as their kindness and consideration towards patients, especially to her cousin.

Thank you to the front liners who were gentle with her. If you had helped her, thank you, know that she was special to a lot of people,” the singer-songwriter added. However, the sad news was put to wrong use by an anti-vax group to manipulate the information.

According to Yuna, the group spread false information claiming that her cousin, Amilya passed away due to her vaccination. Yuna then wrote on her Instagram story to refute the anti-vax’s claim. “Amy had kidney failure and was going through dialysis. She got close contact with someone who had Covid symptoms and from there her health deteriorated very quickly,” she emphasised in her writing.

Covid took her life. Not the first dose vaccine. If she had completed her vaccine she would probably have had a chance. I take no pleasure in sharing this. But I’m hearing all this BS about people not getting vaccinated. It’s easy to believe these lies when you don’t SEE someone you love losing their battle against Covid,” she wrote.

She further criticized the members of the group that would simply believe any claims regarding vaccination. Yuna will also take action regarding the exploitation of her cousin’s information and will make a report. “Don’t mock a Covid patients’ death. We are looking into this and will make a report,” she remarked.
