Since 20th August, Malaysia’s National Security Council (NSC) has agreed to provide flexibility to individuals who have received complete vaccinations for the state in Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP). Dine-in activities are now allowed for NRP phase 1 states and individuals who wish to do so must complete the total injection dose and comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that have been set.
Fully vaccinated people in Phase 1 area have since started to use the permitted relaxation after not being able to dine-in at eateries and restaurants for so long since the Movement Control Order (MCO) was announced. Local celebrities also took the opportunity to dine with their loved ones including actress Nora Danish. The starlet posted a picture on her Instagram showing her family spending time together at a restaurant.
The picture that was captioned with “Dinner out with the boys before school starts,” came to netizens attention with many commenting negatively on the post. Many question the action of Nora Danish and her husband, Nedim Nazri, of bringing their children to eat at the restaurant regarding the safety of their kids as the cases of Covid-19 are still worrying.
Nedim, who refused to remain silent, explained that there is nothing wrong with their action because the couple has strictly followed the conditions set by the Ministry of Health (MOH). He informed that the rule mentioned that children under 17 are allowed to be outside on condition that they are accompanied by parents. He commented his explanation under one of the netizens’ replies who questioned the safety of the couple’s conduct.
“God gave us the brain to think and when MKN announced something, be diligent and read. If you are too lazy to read, stop commenting. Go to the MKN website and please read. Children under 17 must be accompanied by their parents,” Nedim’s explanation read.
The counter-comment left by Nedim also received support from netizens who agreed with his remarks and pointed out that parents also played an important role in preventing any risk of infection to the children.
