It truly breaks our heart to see to many beloved food outlets succumb to the cruel pandemic that has been affecting Malaysians for the past 1.5 years. The latest to bite the dust this week is a famous food court in Suria KLCC.
RASA Food Arena, which is located on the 4th floor of Suria KLCC, has announced its permanent closure after patrons for over 2 decades. Regular customers will certainly miss the variety of food options available during lunch and dinner hours.
The statement as seen in the photo reads:
“It is with great sadness that we announce the permanent closure of RASA Food Arena, Suria KLCC, from 1st September 2021. Thank you for your patronage over the wonderful 22 years. It has been our ultimate pleasure to serve you.”
Here some of the comments left by netizens:
- “I’ll miss ordering the Nasi Ayam and Nasi Padang there.”
- “Don’t think they have a choice. Rental at Suria KLCC is expensive.”
- “It used to be crowded during pre-Covid. Even securing a table was hard.”
- “One by one, all our favourite food outlets are closing down because of MCO.”
Many restaurant owners have expressed that, at this point, they’re merely striving to break even.
