Last year, a 31-year-old called Samantha Ramsdell from Stamford, Connecticut, went viral for having a large mouth. It was revealed on her social media that she was able to open her mouth a whopping 2.56 inches. The Tik Tok was able to break the Guinness World Record for having the largest female mouth. Before receiving the award, however, she had to prove that ‘she had no surgery’.

Guinness has since acknowledged Samantha as the person to break the record for the largest female mouth gape in the world. In an appearance on This Morning on the 9th of August, Samantha shoved a whole sandwich at once into her month.
Samantha works as a medical sales representative. She states that she has been in contact with Guinness for more than half a year. She also stated that ensuring her talent was ‘natural’ was a very lengthy process.

She has been discussing with Guinness since January, going back and forth for more than six months. They finally came to get her measurements in early July, and she finally received the official plaque. She states that entering the Guinness World Records is a complicated process and that they have around 2 pages of guidelines. She also had to prove that she has not done surgery.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford asked Samantha about how she first noticed that her mouth was bigger in size than usual. She responded by saying that ever since she’d looked in a mirror, she was aware of her big mouth. She states that in her baby pictures, her face has always been like 80% mouth.
However, her large mouth unexpectedly attracted the attention of Tik Tok users. Samantha used social media to post about her performance skills, with no clue that her facial features would gain such attention. In 2019, she only had around 300 social media followers. Now, however, she has over 1.7 million followers on TiK Tok.

As a child, Samantha has been bullied for her large mouth. But now, she makes nearly £11,000 per Tik Tok video, thanks to her unique talent. It’s truly amazing how what used to be Samantha’s biggest insecurity has now turned into her biggest asset.
