2 New Updates On MySejahtera: More User-Friendly Interface Now Available

We know how frustrating it can be going through the laggy interface of the MySejahtera application especially when you’re supposed to show your vaccination and risk status to shop owners and security guards at malls. This would tend to cause anxiety for many individuals, provided the fact that there’s a long queue behind you waiting to get into the outlet.

It’s very similar to the situation of putting loose change back into your purse at payment counters with a long line of people who are waiting to get their payment done! Well, now, you could use the MySejahtera application hassle-free as there are two integral updates to the application itself. These were announced by the current Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin via his Twitter page.

MySejahtera

The first update would be a check-out button. The current scenario that MySejahtera users are facing is the fact that they can only scan a QR code at public places or outlets for checking in. The new update would enable them to check out after leaving the premises. This was done in an effort to efficiently execute contact tracing especially, with the high rise in Covid-19 cases in the nation.

Via his Tweet, Khairy said, “A check-out button has also been added in the latest update of MySejahtera, to improve contact tracing. After leaving a place, please remember to check-out. You only need to press a button – no scan needed.”

The second update would be the user-friendly interface which enables users to display or show their risk level and vaccination status when requested to do so. Previously, the risk level and vaccination status were on two different pages. So, it involved a lot of impatient taps and scrolls on their respective mobile devices.

Now, all they have to do is to go to the newly-minted “Profile” section on the application to display their risk and vaccination status. In reference to this, Khairy said, “The MySejahtera team will push a new build tonight making it easier for people to display their risk level and vaccination status – this will ease living with Covid. Will further update and improve the app over the coming weeks.”

MySejahteraWell, this move is quite essential given the current situation where we can’t totally destroy the virus, but rather, find ways to live with it. Covid-19 is here to stay but we must be extra vigilant towards our health and safety. Make sure you get vaccinated quickly and update your MySejahtera application regularly to obtain the latest updates regarding the current state of the pandemic in the country!
