Cue the wedding bells! After 1 year of being engaged, Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell got married just a few days ago in a private ceremony in Colorado.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On 4th September 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell…” the “Emily In Paris” actress wrote.
Lily wore a dramatic long-sleeve hooded lace gown by Ralph Lauren. In the image (pictured above) where the newlyweds share a kiss under a waterfall, the stunning bride looks just as ethereal as the nature surrounding them.
“What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality,” she wrote on IG. “I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start.”
The lovebirds tied the knot at a scenic resort in a former mining ghost town called Dunton Hot Springs. The property includes 12 luxury cabins and a restored bathhouse that benefits from the natural warm water source. This alpine valley also offers views of 14,000-foot mountain peaks, Aspen trees, rivers, and meadows.
Although the couple made their romance Instagram official n August 2019, they had been keeping their relationship on the down low. But now that they’re husband and wife, there was nothing to hide their excitement after saying their “I do’s”.
Charlie’s mother, actress Mary Steenburgen, also gushed about the wedding and is still floating on cloud nine. She wrote, “Charlie, my son, and Lily, my daughter-in-law!!! Thank you for letting us all bask in the sheer beauty of your love for each other. My heart is overflowing and it almost feels like the last few days were some sort of beautiful dream. But it is all real, and I feel like the luckiest mother in the world.”
Congrats to the lovey-dovey couple on their exciting new chapter ;)
