Move Over Mak Cik Kiah, There’s A New Cik Yah In Town

Social media influencer and digital creator Cik Yah has garnered attention from netizens as she praises the efficiency of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in carrying out his duties in less than a month of his appointment.

Cik Yah Official uploaded an animated video of the Cik Yah character on her Instagram page expressing her joy over the Covid-19 Special Assistance (BKC) phase one which was credited to Malaysians earlier this week. The 3-minute video has accumulated more than 15,000 views and was flooded with comments from netizens who agreed with Cik Yah’s opinion.

Thank you to our Prime Minister for providing the assistance. The work is really efficient considering it is only less than a month since his appointment as the Prime Minister. He did not wait long to provide assistance to the people affected by Covid-19,” the caption read.

In the same entry, Cik Yah also praised the good looks of the Finance Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz who attended the BSN Putrajaya to review the situation during the first day of BKC provision to recipients yesterday. Cik Yah even jokingly invited Prime Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri to take a stroll around her hometown on a motorcycle.

The animation added, “The important thing is that the government emphasizes the real value of ‘Keluarga Malaysia.” Among the comments left by netizens on the comical video was that they were collectively amused by Cik Yah’s statement regarding her desire to re-install the Shopee application on her phone after it was deleted due to excessive shopping.

The Prime Minister on Wednesday (1st September) announced that the Covid-19 Special Assistance (BKC) is a part of the comprehensive assistance under the National People’s Well-Being and Economic Recovery Package (Pemulih). BKC will be provided in stages with phase one payments credited from 6th September and expected to be completed on 10th September.

A total of RM4.6 billion has been allocated for Phase 1 of BKC. B40 recipients will receive the cash handout beginning yesterday, while M40 recipients will begin receiving it from 9th September.
