Now, for individuals who have been Covid-19 positive might have had an issue post-recovery if they don’t report his or her status daily. As an aftermath, MySejahtera would reflect their status as being positive even after their 14 days of quarantine. In the midst of handling a busy day of working from home topped up with Covid-19 symptoms, individuals infected with Covid-19 might easily forget to update their daily status regularly on MySejahtera. Allowing those fully vaccinated to travel to countries with a lower number of cases would require timely updating of the MySejahtera digital vaccination certificate and if in the case of foreign tourists in Malaysia, the Malaysian government could consider issuing temporary vaccination certificates to tourists who have been fully vaccinated abroad so, they could travel and roam around freely in Malaysia — similarly to locals who are fully vaccinated.
Features Such As Artificial Intelligence & Chatbots
Well, with an increasing number of MySejahtera users complaining that they’ve been facing technical issues, it is indeed necessary to increase the capacity of MySejahtera Helpdesk and Hotline, including the use of technology such as artificial intelligence and chatbots. At least for now, the additional funds spent on MySejahtera would be justified with the integration of these features!
Digital Contact Tracing
The MySejahtera application should at least the proper capacity to trace at least 80% of all close contacts within 24 hours and provide better alert notifications of possible close contact immediately and advisory on next step of action. This would prevent a sky-rocketing number of cases in Malaysia.
Nevertheless, these much-needed modifications might be a bit too daunting in the midst of the vaccination program but it’s advisable to rectify all of these before reopening state and international borders. Hopefully, swift action would be taken to modify the MySejahtera application with more useful and user-friendly features!
