Yoshinoya Hanamaru In Mid Valley Megamall Has Already Closed Down

Sorry Japanese foodies, but it looks like y’all have one less food option when you visit Mid Valley Megamall. Among the restaurants that recently closed during the 4-month MCO, Yoshinoya Hanamaru is one of them.

We can officially confirmed that the famous Japanese beef bowl chain has shut down – much to the disappointment of frequent visitors at the mall. As you may know, the well-known Japanese eatery is located on the third floor, next to MUJI, llaollao, and Snowflake.

Back in July 2020, Reuters reported Yoshinoya Holdings Co was forced to close down up to 150 stores after experiencing a fiscal year due to the coronavirus pandemic. A quick look at its social media shows that Yoshinoya Hanamaru Malaysia hasn’t been updating since 31st March 2021. Even its delivery service on platforms like GrabFood is no longer available.

Yoshinoya Hanamaru Malaysia did not released any official statement regarding its closure in Malaysia. However, a simple statement of “Thank You For Your Support” can be found when entering its official website.

Aside from Yoshinoya Hanamaru, these F&B outlets in Mid Valley Megamall are also currently close:

  • Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert
  • Home Made Fish Head Noodle
  • Plan B
  • Ah Her Bak Kut Teh
  • Foundo Seafood
  • Koomi
  • The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
  • Xing Fu Tang

Besides “gyudon” beef bowls with the classic Ontama egg, the franchise was also known for its Chicken Katsu and Karaage orders.
