One of the most unfortunate and saddest things that happen when we grow up is the loss of childhood innocence and playfulness. The little things that we enjoyed a lot as children lose their meaning and everything becomes a kind of dull. But, have you ever imagine how it will be if those regular, simple things had a bit more playful aspect to themselves? For instance, consider the usual streets that we walk on every day. What if they had little cute and funny things like Easter eggs hidden here and there? I’m sure that will definitely make your day better.
Johan Karlgen, a street artist from Sweden, surely has this in mind when he creates his unique and fun works. His colorful pixelated art pieces add a touch of joy to bland locations. Although they are unrealistic, he creates them in a way where they always have some sort of interaction with their environment. He usually derives inspiration from a number of sources such as movies, video games, etc. He recently became a hot topic on Reddit after turning a concrete barrier in a parking lot to a Toblerone chocolate bar.
