Another popular food court bites the dust. This time, it’s the beloved Food Junction in Mid Valley Megamall. It’s a pity that the longstanding food court on level 3 had to succumb after being badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We initially assumed that Food Junction food court was temporarily closed this week due to a staff contracting Covid-19. However, the staff at Mid Valley Megamall have confirmed that Food Junction had indeed closed 2 days ago.
If you’ve dined in Food Junction Mid Valley, you’d be familiar with the various Asian cuisines this food court had to offer. You name it, they had it! There were Vegetarian, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Express Teppanyaki, Yong Tau Foo, Sizzling Hotplate, Chicken Rice, Little Nyonya, Ayam Penyet, Nasi Campur, and many more.
However, after the long MCO this time around, we noticed that almost half of the tenants were already gone. Now that most of us have returned to office and people are dining out, Food Junction Mid Valley will be sorely missed. Less than 2 months ago, we broke the story that Yoshinoya Hanamaru (on Mid Valley’s level 3) had also closed down.
While MUJI will be expanding its store over to Yoshinoya Hanamaru’s space, we were told that another food court will be replacing Food Junction either in January or February 2022. Will you miss any of these food outlets?
Back in August, many were heartbroken upon finding out that the RASA Food Arena food court in Suria KLCC had closed down after 22 years.
