If you ever see a long line in front of a store, it has to be one of two things. Either the food or drink there is spectacular, or there’s someone famous in the area. For those who visited Bukit Bintang’s Lot 10 last Saturday, you may have noticed a huge crowd. Here’s why.
Fans of Malaysian influencer Elyn Leong (梁瑜鈴) had a very sweet treat on 6th November. The influencer was apparently ‘hired’ for a day at a well-known milk tea shop. Did she stand up to the mettle? Fans certainly think so!
A few days prior, well-known milk tea shop Machi Machi made a special announcement on their socials. Malaysian influencer Elyn Leong had been ‘hired’! Unfortunately, her job would only be for a day. It was basically a meet-and-greet for the 18-year-old influencer, but don’t be fooled. She had fans lining up for her in front of the store.
Before her arrival, the line had already extended beyond the shop front. The influencer’s arrival was heralded by her fans and she waved to them as she entered the store. Aside from working the store front, Elyn also posed with customers for pictures in her shop uniform.
Fans were enraptured by the influencer’s cuteness. Many praised her on Instagram, feeling it was worth the long wait to interact with their favourite influencer. Her appearance and the photo opportunity made a lot of them happy. However, the luckiest people were probably those working right next to her.
It was probably tiring, but Elyn stuck to her guns and finished out the day. Additionally, she thanked a few fans who had come to see her in the comments on their Instagram posts.
It was certainly a busy Saturday for the 18-year-old, that’s for sure!
