“Ghostbusters” Lights Up Saloma Link Bridge In Kuala Lumpur

If there’s something strange, in your neighbourhood.. Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! To celebrate the release of “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”, Sony Pictures Entertainment Malaysia lit up Kuala Lumpur’s iconic Saloma Link Bridge over the weekend with the iconic No Ghost icon and green Ghostbuster logo.

This marks the first ever movie studio blockbuster to take over the Saloma Link Bridge. This spectacular visual treat is a once in a lifetime experience for lucky Ghostbusters fans who were able to catch the momentous scenery as well as special appearances from fellow ghostbusters and Stay Puft marshmallow mascot at the Saloma Link Bridge over the weekend.

The inspiration came from the tie between the torch-looking structure of the bridge and the heavy inspiration of “Passing of The Torch” from Ghostbusters Director, Jason Reitman, who is the son of the original Ghostbusters producer, Ivan Reitman.

I want the audience to feel while they’re watching Ghostbusters like they’re being handed back Ecto-1, the proton packs, the music, the props, the characters. Piece by piece, from start to finish of the movie, you’re watching this mystery and we are kind of handing you back all your favourite elements of this franchise,” he was quoted as saying.
