Bariatric surgery, also known as metabolic surgery or in commoners terms’, the weight loss surgery, has been quite popular nowadays. Malaysian netizens refer to it as “cutting intestines”.
Bariatric is basically a long term weight loss alternative for people struggling with obesity. The levels of the gut hormones that are responsible for hunger and satiety are altered when bariatric is performed. Even Rina Harun, the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia, went through with it earlier this year.
This time around, Ifa Raziah, or Miss diva as how she often address herself, has been accused by netizens for going under the knife for a bariatric surgery. She has been actively denying the accusations of netizens through her Instagram posts. She even offered netizens prize money if they can prove her going under the knife.
She has posted sarcastic IG stories on starting a whole competition that lasts up to the 8th of December 2021. She has stated how she would gift the winner of the competition a cash prize of RM200k. The competition was easy enough, netizens were to just submit and present solid proofs of her, undergoing the bariatric surgery.
She has included her mobile phone number on the IG stories that she has posted and said, “(I’m) still waiting for the calls from netizens who kept on spreading rumours about (me) for going under the knife for a bariatric surgery just to be skinny and pretty. Don’t waste your time, call (me) now.” The celebrity host cum entrepreneur has claimed how she has lost all the weight by just consistently consuming her own weight loss product, Solid Molid.
She has also posted a netizen direct messaging her on Instagram, apologising for spreading rumours about her going through a bariatric surgery. To which she replied, “It’s good that you’ve come up front to apologise. If not, you’d be crawling up to me in the Field of Mahsyar (to apologise). I forgive you.”
Ifa Raziah seems somewhat calm in handling this gossip that revolves around her. It is probably because she actually did not went through the surgery at all and shed all those KGs with her own hard work and effort.
What’s your opinion on this controversy, do you think Miss Diva went under the knife?
