If you’ve never stepped foot into a jail, perhaps the next best thing would be the jail themed cafe in Subang Jaya, Grey V Cafe. You might have always heard about anime cafes, and all sorts of nice themes used for a cafe, but a macabre themed doesn’t come by very often. Both the decors and the food make this cafe a must-visit!

The dark ambience of this cafe accompanied by the chains donning the ceilings and statues’ torsos pinned on the wall do not only increase the aesthetic value of the cafe, but will also gives you goosebumps while you’re there. There’s also mannequins being tied up, and the murals do excude some sort of purgatory/jail vibes. And to complete the whole jail aesthetic, you can even take your own mugshot with Mr. Skeleton there.

In addition to the whole look, they also have a wide variety of meals and snacks that you can choose from. When we say a wide variety, we mean it because they have a hundred items on their menu that you can try! From their three course meals, to light snacks and even creative eccentric mocktails.

However, if the wide array of menu is making it hard for you to choose, then we have a few recommendations for you. If you want to go on the healthier side, opt for the Pesto Chicken Rice Box. But, if you would want something spicy with a burst of flavour in your mouth, order the Gochujang Chicken Burger (made with their in-house Gochujang sauce). The Black Truffle Pasta and Seafood Aglio Olio are also popular among diners.
