People make looking good look effortless. But if we’re being honest, being pretty is hard work! From making sure you look good to maintaining it, time, effort and of course, money is all required.
Local influencer Qiu Wen (秋雯) has caught many eyes with her good looks and personality. Recently, the influencer shared just how much she spends on maintaining her outer beauty.
“Ordinary people’s good looks are (done) with money,” Qiu Wen was quoted as saying. The influencer then went on to explain roughly how much she spent on hair and facial treatments. Treatment for her scalp, hairline and hair cavity cost between RM1888 to RM3888 and needs to be re-coloured every few years. Regular hair maintenance, hair and scalp care cost her RM200 to RM300 every time.
Of course, good hair is only half the battle when it comes to looks. Flawless skin and a pretty face are a must too! For Qiu Wen, she apparently spends over RM1000 just on eyebrow tattoos, which she reapplies every six months to a year. Her eyelashes aren’t naturally curly either. She maintains that with an eyelash keratin lift every two months, which costs her about RM100. The influencer also revealed that she does various facial treatments once per month, which sums up to about RM200 to RM300. Qiu Wen added that removing fine hair on her upper lip via electric hair removal costs her about RM60 each time.
Aside from her costly maintenance fees, Qiu Wen acknowledged that she hasn’t touched on the many other factors which keep her looking pretty. For instance, her skin care-products, surgery for her eyes and teeth, her clothing purchases and of course, her fitness packages. “Those who are naturally good-looking must save a lot of money,” the influencer was quoted as saying.
Unsurprisingly, many female netizens were quick to agree with the influencer. One person added that “becoming beautiful” was motivation for girls to earn money. Qiu Wen responded saying, “Yes, which is why girls are getting richer and richer.”
Beauty does come with a price and it is costly! On the bright side, many seem to find maintaining their looks worth it. Well, to each their own we suppose!
