Officially Divorced, Shila Amzah Is Now Embracing Life As A Single Mom

Marriage takes work; but sometimes, it’s better to part ways for the sake of your own happiness and mental health. Getting divorced isn’t something to be proud of, but the guts it takes to go through one is what someone should take pride in.

Recently, Shila Amzah has been all over the net after she announced the shocking news of her ongoing divorce with her husband, Haris Idraki Elias. She even had fans worried for her health, while some were hoping a spark would reignite between her and her former beau.

However, her status changed yesterday (8th February). NurShahila binti Amir Amzah, or popularly known as Shila Amzah, posted an update of the divorce on her personal Instagram account. She and her husband finally went through with the divorce on a first decree. She put up a couple of posts for her Instagram feed, while another 2 Instastories of her talking about the divorce.

In one of her selfies that she uploaded on her IG feed, where she dons a pair of lilac satin blouse with a white shawl draped on her head, she poetically captioned it with, “Cloudy day. As cloudy as (my) heart.” While on her Instastory, she stated that it was a significant day, and requested for everyone’s prayers.

Not long after that, Shila gratefully updated that the divorce is finally done. The 31-year-old singer-songwriter also thanked everyone who prayed alongside with her, “We will try our best to care for and love Seth till the end of time. Thank you to those who prayed (for me).” Despite the unfortunate situation, she is keeping a positive attitude and even talked about her hopes for a better future and to live a fulfilled life.

Although she often updates her fans on the process and journey of her divorce, she still kept mum about the reason for the divorce. There’s no point in airing each other’s dirty laundry anyway. Right now, her priority is on the wellbeing and happiness of her child.
