Hype Picks: 9 Things To Do In The Klang Valley This Week (7th March – 13th March)

The first week of March is already behind us and we hoped you’ve checked out our Hype Picks from last week. If you missed out on any of them then don’t worry, there’s still a lot to do this week!

For our picks this week, be sure to indulge yourself in live music and theatre performances, participate in fun and creative workshops, and maybe even go camping in a mall. Whatever your choice is, make the second week of March a fulfilling one!

1. The Bee Women’s Day Special

1. MyDance Alliance Presents Protégées: New Dances by Women Choreographers

Dancers, be sure not to miss the chance to see them perform! Check out new dances by emerging Malaysian women choreographers, in celebration of International Women’s Day!

2. KLPAC Orchestra’s Baroque Elegance

Date: 10th March – 13th March

Location: Pentas 1, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac)

If you love classical music and would love to see a live orchestra, now is your chance as KLPAC presents Orchestra’s Baroque Elegance in collaboration with Wicked Music People. Tickets are selling fast for all shows!

3. Good Gary’s Rooftop Revival Fundraiser by Stage Reset

Date: Sunday, 13th March

Time: 6pm – 10pm

Location: Jalan Panggong Rooftop

Stage Reset is setting up a fundraiser to help fellow musician Gary Tong who is currently dependent on Alecensa for his lung cancer treatment. All ticket sales will be contributed in Aid of Gary Tong as medication fund with “Zero Production Fees”.

4. The Story Book Academy

Date: Saturday, 12th March

Location: Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya

Children’s stage performances are always cute and will put a smile on anyone’s faces. Go down the rabbit hole and watch these kids perform at Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya this Saturday!

1. Cinched Tote Bag – Beginner Sewing

Ever wanted to make your own tote bag? Maybe it’s finally time for you to learn as Sartorial Stitches is hosting a workshop this weekend! You will learn how to use the sewing machine, how to thread, fill the bobbin, change the needle and how to sew straight lines!

2. Tuftme DIY

Location: Tuftme, Puchong, Selangor

A new tufting studio called Tuftme opened in Puchong, Selangor. The store provides detailed 3-hour workshops on tufting and allowing customers to create their very own piece of rug. Better hurry because March classes are almost full!

3. Acrylic Art Workshop by Art Core
