Singer Chubb-E Clarifies Controversial Scene In “Rambang” MV; Doesn’t Want To Be Linked With Zul Ariffin

Malaysian singer Chubb-E wants everyone to know that his upcoming MV for his comeback single “Rambang” does not contain any lewd or X-rated scenes, as claimed by many netizens online.

For those in the dark, the young celeb came under fire after a couple of photos showing him with a female co-star and a group of dancers made its way on social media recently. The foreign model was spotted wearing revealing clothes as seen in the blurred viral images. This has in turn sparked anger among many netizens.

In shedding some light on the recent controversy, Chubb-E assured the public that they don’t have to worry. According to him, the MV will not feature any steamy scenes. “I know, people will bring up the same thing that happened to Zul Ariffin previously. In the music video, there are no overly excessive scenes. In fact, I didn’t have any physical contact with the female model. She only made her appearance for a few seconds,” he explained to mStar.

At the same time, Chubb-E (real name Muhammad Sharul Ashlyn Ag Ashrul Affandy) also clarified that the controversy that broke out was not part of the marketing gimmick by his team prior to the release of his new single. “I personally had no idea how did the photos get leaked online. Of course, me and my management team have already had our own gimmick in mind. I had no intention to deliberately create controversy like this to grab the attention of fans,” the 22-year-old added.

During the chat with the local portal, Chubb-E also expressed that people will not make a big deal out of the issue until it gets out of control. “I hope fans will be able to see the overall concept I want to convey in the song and MV this time. There are many more hot scenes that have been shown on TV before. So, there’s no need to overreact to the matter. Similar to actors, I want to show a different side of me through this song,” he shared.
