(Video) Jackson Wang Ends TikTok Live After Discovering Fans Paid For Live Gifts

K-pop idol and GOT7 member Jackson Wang (王嘉爾/왕잭슨) has been a very busy man. The singer is currently promoting his solo album “MAGIC MAN” which comes out today (Wednesday, 9th September) and fans have been loving his new music so far after the release of “Blow” and “Cruel”.

Other than doing live performances and interviews, the Chinese artist have also sat down and did livestreams to interact with fans to talk about his new music, upcoming projects or to just simply chill. His most recent Live on TikTok got the singer panicking after finding out that fans are spending money. Here’s what happened:

Earlier today, Jackson Wang decided to do a live broadcast on TikTok to interact with fans while signing his album posters. After logging in and hitting the live button, the K-pop idol noticed all the filters and stickers that were placed on him which got him confused as to what they were.

The 28-year-old asked in the video why does he have all these filters going around. Fans then answered in the chat explaining to him that they were gifts. If you’re not well versed in TikTok, Live Gift is a feature that, if active on your account, allows your viewers to react to your videos. It’s also one way for you to collect Diamonds from TikTok and these diamonds can then be redeemed for money.

Upon learning that his fans are actually spending money for these gifts, the “Cruel” singer quickly ended the live broadcast to deactivate the feature. Fans on Twitter found his reaction hilarious and wholesome as he didn’t want anyone spending their money on unnecessary things.

Moments after ending the first broadcast, Jackson came back on TikTok live and made sure the Gifts feature has been deactivated. The singer resumed chilling with his fans online while signing posters for his upcoming album. Malaysian fans, if you missed his broadcast, don’t worry the singer will be performing in Malaysia very soon for the Good Vibes Weekender festival!
