It’s always exciting when our favourite celebs announce that they are expecting a baby. However, there have been times when fans let that excitement go a little bit too far as pregnancy rumours began circulating after they noticed slight changes to those public figures’ bodies.
Previously, many believed that former DOLLA member Syasya Rizal was pregnant when they noticed a supposed baby bump during her wedding ceremony. The idol denied those rumours saying that the dress was simply too tight. Despite that, new pregnancy rumours have arisen after she shared an update on her socials.
Earlier this week, Syasya posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram of her day out with a friend with a caption that reads, “Creating my own sunshine, one kick at a time ✨💛🐤”. In one of those photos, fans pointed out that she was seemingly sporting a baby bump in her loose clothing. Scrolling through the comments section, many started congratulating her on her supposed pregnancy while others wished her well if the rumours were true.
The 23-year-old, however, has yet to address the speculations that she is expecting her first child with her husband Nasrullah. Until the singer herself makes an official announcement, perhaps it may be too early to send congratulatory messages to her. Apparently, Syasya wasn’t the only local celeb to have people believing that she was pregnant.
Actress Juliana Evans recently posted a video on her Instagram of her promoting her jewellery brand at Bangsar Shopping Centre. The 35-year-old was seen carrying her toddler while showing off her products being sold at the mall but some fans noticed that she was sporting an apparent baby bump. To stop the rumours from escalating, the actress quickly addressed it by replying to one of the (now-deleted) comments on the post.
“This kind of comment can create false rumours. I’ve lost most of my baby weight everywhere except for my tummy area ’cause I’m now a mother of two children. It’s not easy to regain that sixpack but how I wish [to one day]!” she said. This goes to show that just because someone may have put on some weight, it doesn’t indicate a baby bump. With that in mind, we should always avoid talking about people’s body shape or weight.
