Authorities have discovered the body of Muhammad Nidza Afham, a 23-year-old singer and YouTuber, beneath a bridge in Klang, Selangor, approximately one day after he was reported missing. Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the identification of the body, and the family has been notified.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong had earlier reported that the singer was last seen leaving a house on Jalan Kerongsang 4 in Bandar Puteri on Tuesday. His girlfriend managed to trace his last location to a bridge, where family members later found his wallet and other personal belongings.

Nidza Afham, known for his single “Ternyata Bukan Aku” and his popular song covers on social media, had gained significant recognition through his YouTube channel, amassing nearly seven million views on his cover of “Rindu Setengah Mati.” He also made an appearance on “I Can See Your Voice” Season 3.

In a heart-wrenching statement, Mokhtar Mahmud, 57, the father of the late singer, expressed his grief and acceptance of his son’s death. “I held onto hope that Am would return safely when I recited the azan at Kota Bridge. However, I have come to accept this as fate,” Mokhtar said.

He described the moment he was informed of his son’s death and his immediate rush to the scene. Mokhtar recounted his last interactions with Nidza, including a call he received the previous evening where his son offered him pocket money. “This was the last time I spoke with Am. I am still in shock, but I accept this as Allah’s will,” Mokhtar added.

The late singer’s sisters, Aufahanie and Irfahanie Mokhtar, have both publicly shared their grief and personal reflections following the tragic news. Aufahanie, a 21-year-old singer, posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram, reminiscing about her late brother. She shared images from their childhood and expressed her deep love and sorrow. “I love you, Am. May you find happiness in heaven,” the singer wrote.

Irfahanie Mokhtar, in a separate statement, described the impact of the news on their family, including their mother, who fainted upon hearing about her late brother’s death. Irfahanie noted that her brother had shown no signs of distress or depression before his disappearance. “He had dreams of getting married and had been saving money. There were no indications of any issues that could have led to this tragic outcome,” she explained.
