From Fernleaf To MILO: 3 Local Brands Celebrate The Malaysian Spirit By Giving Back

In celebration of this year’s National Day theme “Jiwa Merdeka” and Malaysia Day, many local brands are celebrating the resilience and unity of Malaysians with an inspiring message of togetherness.

The National Day parade was graced by the presence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and other esteemed VIPs, who joined thousands of Malaysians in enjoying the vibrant performances and activities organized to celebrate the country’s independence. It’s heartwarming to see brands like Fernleaf, MILO and Munchy’s spread happiness with free food and snacks.

Fernleaf

Fernleaf recently provided newly launched Family Chocolate Milk Powder drink to over 50,000 Malaysians at the Merdeka parade. This exciting initiative highlights Fernleaf’s unwavering dedication to enriching the lives of Malaysian families with nutritious and delicious dairy options. The new Family Chocolate Milk Powder not only provides a rich, milky chocolate flavour but also important nutrients, including 5x DHA, 11 vitamins and minerals, and high levels of calcium, protein, iron, zinc, vitamin A, D, B2, and B12, aligning with Fernleaf’s mission to support a balanced diet for families.

We are excited to introduce our new Fernleaf Family Chocolate Milk Powder – a product that combines delicious taste with good nutrition. There is no better time to celebrate this with our fellow Malaysians who have supported us throughout the years than today”, said Lim Siew Poh, Marketing Director of Fonterra Brands Malaysia and Singapore.

MILO

The iconic MILO truck evokes a wave of nostalgia, reminding Malaysians of simpler times and the delicious comfort of a nutritious, ice-cold MILO. As the country celebrates 67 years of independence, the ‘Dulu, Kini, Selamanya Demi Malaysia’ message pays tribute to the triumphs and struggles that have been the foundation of Malaysia’s unity, while proudly showcasing MILO as Buatan Malaysia (Made in Malaysia), created by Malaysians for Malaysians.

Adding to the excitement of Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations, the brand embarked on a nationwide tour to provide complimentary MILO to the public on 31st August and will make another pit stop on 16th September. “Our journey with Malaysians has been one of shared experiences built on driving well-being and active lifestyles with quality products. Our commitment to supporting the community remains strong. Whether you have grown up with the familiar taste of MILO or are just discovering it, our message this year is a reminder that MILO is more than just a drink, it is a symbol of unity, resilience and the enduring spirit of Malaysia. We look forward to celebrating and rewarding our beloved consumers,” said Ng Su Yen, Business Executive Officer of MILO, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.

Munchy’s

This year, Munchy’s could not have been more proud to be part of the national celebration by distributing RM100,000 worth of biscuits for breakfast during the National Day parade in Putrajaya. Amidst the festivities, Munchy’s further delighted the crowd with a selection of its top-quality biscuits, including LEXUS Sandwich, Oat Krunch Breakfast, Cream-O Cookie, Munchy’s Crackers, Roller Coaster and Cloud 9 snacks, adding to the joy and excitement of the day.

Parade spectators and participants savoured every bite of Munchy’s biscuits, praising them for their perfect blend of crunchiness and taste.
