“No One Is Above The Law, Not Even Royalty”: Pahang Prince Tengku Hassanal Addresses Attack In Kuantan

Many would agree that the Pahang Royal Family knows when to let loose and have fun but when it comes to serious matters like crime, they will not sit idly. Recently, a construction worker named Alias Awang claimed that someone who is linked to Pahang Royalty was involved in his attack. The 44-year-old was reportedly stabbed and shot by a group of men in Kuantan back in June.

He filed a police report after his condition was stable and alleged that he received a phone call from an unspecified individual who instructed him to go to the scene of the crime. After news broke out, the Crown Prince of Pahang Tengku Hassanal had something to say about the incident.

Taking to Instagram Story, His Royal Highness urged the authorities to carry out a proper and fair investigation of the case and take firm action against the culprit without any compromise. “No one is above the law, not even Royalty,” said the Crown Prince. The 28-year-old reassured the public that he would not be protecting those who have committed crimes.

In an official statement shared by the Pahang Sultanate, Tengku Hassanal reiterated his stance regarding the case and hoped that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) would bring the attacker to justice. “If there is any evidence of wrongdoing, it needs to be brought to court so that it can be prosecuted and put on trial,” he said. Netizens praised the royal family member for taking the matter seriously and hoped that justice would be upheld regardless of whether the suspect was a relative or a staff member working for the Pahang monarch.
