We’ve seen so many idols interact with each other on stage, but it always seems so short and brief. However, some artists’ friendships with each other go deeper than the surface level.
Idols who used to train together but debuted in different groups tend to stay friends, even with their busy schedules. They also like going out together whenever they have time off and posting pictures on Instagram, leaving fans happy that their favourites are spending time outside of work with the people they like. Here, we’ve gathered 7 of the cutest friendships between K-idols! Let’s start:
Beomgyu (TXT) and I.N (Stray Kids)
Beomgyu (범규) of TXT (투모로우바이투게더) is known for his many friendships with others in the field, especially with ’01 liners. However, he recently posted on Instagram, which hinted that he went out with Stray Kids’ (스트레이키즈) Jeongin (정인), also known as I.N. for a walk at night. Both idols posted on their respective accounts around the same time, and fans put the pieces together!
Yeonjun (TXT) and Changbin (Stray Kids)
Still, on the topic of the mentioned groups’ friendships, we always see TXT’s Yeonjun (연준) interact playfully with Stray Kids’ Changbin (창빈), especially on stage. Previously, we’ve seen Yeonjun being an MC for Inkigayo, a Korean music show, where he was friendly with Changbin. Not only that, but they also frequently call and keep up with each other, as shown when Yeonjun randomly calls him up on air, and the Stray Kids member casually answers the call.
Sana (TWICE) and Bangchan (Stray Kids)
With both of them being from the same company (JYPE), it mustn’t be too rare for them to bump into each other every once in a while. Although it doesn’t seem like it, Sana (サナ) of TWICE (트와이스) and Bangchan (방찬) of Stray Kids spent a lot of time together, especially since he wants to learn Japanese from her. Sana also mentioned that she and Chan were close, so it felt weird to hear him introduce her so formally.
Jeonghan (SEVENTEEN) and Hyungwon (MONSTA X)
Being popular groups in 3rd generation K-pop, the two groups frequently bump into each other at award ceremonies, but we never expected them to be this close! SEVENTEEN’s (세븐틴) Jeonghan (정한) and MONSTA X’s (몬스타엑스) Hyungwon (형원) are very comfortable and close. Just last year, the SEVENTEEN member asked Hyungwon for a picture before he left for his military service, and the photo sent was Jeonghan’s phone wallpaper for months.
Giselle (aespa) and Somi
Their friendship is no secret to anyone, as both idols frequently post about hanging out with each other. Giselle of aespa (에스파) and Somi also have sleepovers, with either idol staying over for a night or two. They were also seen going to the movies or shopping together. Not only that, both artists also regularly mention one another during lives on their respective social media platforms.
NingNing (aespa) and Yunjin (LE SSERAFIM)
Another member of aespa seems to have a close bond with a member of the girl group, LE SSERAFIM (르세라핌). Yunjin (윤진) of LE SSERAFIM has mentioned on Live before that she’s close to aespa’s NingNing (닝닝), and they frequently go out for meals together. They even hugged on stage before, confirming their close friendships to fans.
Changbin (Stray Kids) and Chaeryeong (ITZY)
Finally, we have a friendship so close that it’s as if they’re siblings. Here we have Stray Kids’ Changbin again – this time with ITZY’s Chaeryeong (채령). The two have been on a show together, where the ITZY member revealed that even her mother was fond of the boy band singer because of his kind and caring nature. He was also teasing her throughout the show, which proves to fans that they are very close friends.
Those were some of the K-idol friendships we found! Did we miss any?
