It’s been over a decade since Macanese actress Isabella Leong (梁洛施) ended her high-profile relationship with Hong Kong businessman Richard Li (李泽楷), with whom she had three children out of wedlock. The 36-year-old actress recently appeared at the “Vogue Loves Hong Kong” event. Also in attendance were stars like 2NE1 (투애니원) member CL (씨엘), Jessica Jung (제시카정) and Fan Bingbing (范冰冰). As the event was held outdoors, many fans could catch an up-close glimpse of Isabella. One netizen shared her experience meeting the actress, praising her good looks and slim figure. Isabella’s recent appearance also brought up discussions about her relationship with Richard. The pair were together for three years and are parents to three children, but never tied the knot. A few months ago, Isabella opened up about her relationship with the billionaire in an interview. She spoke about the relationship, saying, “Looking back, I don’t regret it because I know that once I made the choice, I have to keep moving forward.”
However, the star confessed that she had intended to marry Richard, adding, “Of course I did at that time, but I couldn’t force it”. Isabella also shared why she decided to call things off with the businessman, revealing, “He’s too popular with women. I couldn’t accept that. I wanted to have more confidence in my life.” Thankfully, the two parted ways on good terms, with the actress saying the two will continue to raise their children together.
According to reports, Isabella and Richard met in 2008 and welcomed their first son in 2009, followed by twin boys in 2010. After the two broke up in 2011, there were rumours that Richard had given Isabella HK$1 billion (approximately RM572 million) as a “break-up fee”, but both parties denied the allegations. Isabella remained single since the split, but there are recent rumours that she’s seeing Chinese actor Marc Ma (马浴柯).
