(Video) This Tabby Cat In Johor Has Its Own University Student ID

Another day, another interesting tale about cats, as these furry creatures tend to amuse us with their unique and endearing behaviour. Many would remember the time when a cat was appointed as a new worker at a Shell station in Penang, which was hilarious. This time around, instead of a new job, one feline seems to have enrolled as a student at a university.

In a video posted by TikTok user @/le_ccorn which went viral recently (Monday, 9th December), a tabby cat is seen walking around the campus grounds of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in Pagoh, Muar, Johor. However, upon closer inspection, the feline appears to have a collar around its neck with a student ID card attached.

The 13-second video, which has over 514.6 thousand views (at the time of writing), shows that the feline is named “Bontot Binti Kucheng” and is a ‘student’ at UTHM, a university specialising in technology engineering.

This has left Malaysian netizens cracking and expressing their mirth in the comment section, with some wondering who would’ve given such a quirky name to the cat.

Other netizens were also jokingly wondering how many semesters are left for the cat’s engineering course; while some were mind-blown that even a feline could get into university. A few wondered where the feline got its name tag done, as they want something similar for cats on their campus as well.

What’s your opinion on the new student at UTHM? Watch the full video here:
