(Video) Chinese Entrepreneur Spends RM1.85 Million To Recreate Iconic “Crayon Shin-chan” House

Some houses have gone viral because of their beautiful interior design while others for their excessive decorations during the holidays. Regardless, it’s clear that netizens are always fascinated by these extravagant homes, especially if they look unrealistic.

Speaking of which, this young entrepreneur from China has recently gone viral after deciding to showcase his love for a popular anime-manga series by recreating a house lived by the characters. Here’s his story:

Shen Yuhao, a native of Zhejiang Province, achieved one of his dreams of building a house that looks exactly like the one from the beloved anime-manga series “Crayon Shin-chan”. He returned to his home country after graduating from university and took over his family’s sheep farm. While expanding the business, he was inspired to build a house that resembled the one inhabited by the Nohara family from the popular anime series.

It was reported that the idea came to him during a casual late-night conversation with his creative team, all of whom share the same love for Crayon Shin-chan. It was then that they decided to turn the dream into a reality. However, to recreate a house from a popular TV series, they first needed to secure permission to proceed with the project. The entrepreneur and his team made multiple visits to the official Crayon Shin-chan exclusive licensing agency in Shanghai.

Thankfully, they received construction permits and extensive reference materials from the copyright holders. Aside from securing the rights to build the house, Shen also credited his mother for her financial support in realising his dreams. “Fortunately, my mother supported me unconditionally, providing me with the start-up funds to realise this dream,” he told reporters. Shen and his team didn’t stop at the house’s exterior; they also worked on the interior to match the design in the anime.

The total cost of the entire project is reported to be more than RM1.85 million. The Crayon Shin-chan house is not just a passion project for Shen; he also aims to boost local tourism. The house, located in Huzhou City, has become a popular tourist destination for fans of the iconic anime-manga series, and according to several reports, Shen and his team plan to build the Futaba Kindergarten, also from the same series.
