Fans were overjoyed last year when Chinese stars Jin Han (金瀚) and Zhang Zhixi (张芷溪) officially announced they were dating. The couple sweetly declared their devotion to each other on Weibo, capturing each other’s hearts and their fans’ attention.
This year however, there seems to be trouble in paradise. A late-night post by the actress revealed some very shocking secrets.
Zhang accused Jin Han of seeing other girls, even claiming that his other phone “is full of their numbers”. She brought up two instances she suspected him of meeting other girls; the night her grandmother passed away and the night she made the post (17th February). “Just to go find a girl, you intentionally fought with me tonight to go to another room in this hotel,” she stated on Weibo. “Asshole!”
She also released screenshots of her conversations with Jin Han. Initially Jin Han denied everything, even jokingly claiming that “In this relationship, my ‘wife’ wants to ‘kill’ me.” After being ignored, he got serious, stating she didn’t trust him from the very beginning even though he tried to give her “a sense of security”. “The more my wife is like this, the more I want to drink with other girls. But can I do anything? I can’t,” he told her.
Zhang accused him of seeking prostitutes masquerading as actors and models, and reminded him that prostitution is illegal. At the threat of going public with the allegations, Jin Han stated he would break all ties with his government-connected family to save them. He values his family’s reputation more than his career. Zhang backed off then.
The post on Weibo has been removed and Zhang has apparently retracted her accusations. In place of the accusations, she posted a public apology and clarified the matter. “It was just a misunderstanding, plus drinking too much and fighting. Have cleared it up now,” she stated. “Caused trouble for everyone in the middle of the night, sorry.”
Some fans feel she should have resolved the matter privately instead of venting about it online. They also are coming down on her hard for being drunk when she made the post. A few others however, are incredulous of her apology and are asking people to take her side instead.
