Have you ever looked at your kids and wondered if you were ever that short? Well, you might not have been. Recent studies have shown that most children under five are stunted and underweight, and lacking nutrients for bone growth.
Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMI) is launching its first milk based formula dietary food DUTCH LADY MaxGro to combat the malnutrition problem. To complement the new product, they are also launching the Cita-Cita Tinggi Mampu Dimiliki campaign.
DUTCH LADY MaxGro is suitable for children aged 1-9 and is formulated to provide kids with 80% of the recommended nutrient intake. It contains 9 Essential Amino Acids (9EAA) for bones and muscle growth, Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Calcium for strong bones, and Vitamin D for calcium absorption. “We strive to formulate a new offering that tastes great and at the same time bring the best value to our consumers,” Tarang Gupta, the Managing Director of DLMI stated. “Our latest milk offering, DUTCH LADY MaxGro, is a testament to our ambition to help Malaysian children embark on their journey of proper nutrition for a healthier and better future.“
The Cita-Cita Tinggi Mampu Dimiliki campaign complementing the launch of the product is to raise awareness of children’s nutritional needs and to promote regular height tracking. In addition to DUTCH LADY MaxGro, DLMI introduced a new application called MaxGro Growth Tracker.
This app helps parents track their children’s development and growth progress. It doesn’t only cover physical and cognitive growth, it also has an Immunisation Schedule, a Teething Log and much more. With this app, parents can help their children achieve their ambition to grow taller, healthier and meet their optimal growth potential.
It’s currently available on Google Play for free.
According to Zatur Hassim, DLMI’s Marketing Director and Specialised Nutrition, surveys show that Malaysian mothers were seeking milk offerings to support their children’s nutritional growth and ways to track their growth progress. “This is why the DUTCH LADY brand took this proactive role in developing a growth tracking tool – to make it more accessible to all parents in Malaysia,” she explained. “Echoing the aim of our campaign, we wanted to amplify the message of Cita-Cita Tinggi, Mampu Dimiliki — which translates to high ambition or ambitions to grow tall that is within reach.”
According to their survey, which was done in collaboration with the Home Tester Club in Malaysia, 99% of Malaysian mothers would recommend DUTCH LADY MaxGro to their friends and family. 96% of mother agreed their children love the taste and 98% agreed their children had no digestion issues after drinking the product.
Dr Azam Mohd Nor, Consultant Pediatrician from Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur stated that height is a key indicator of a child’s health and one of the best ways to address malnutrition is by consuming nutrient-dense milk. He also stressed that to ensure kids are growing healthily, parents need to consistently measure their children’s height.
