It’s no secret that the tourism sector in Malaysia has taken one of the biggest hits due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One popular theme park in Johor has decided to call it quits.
This time around, it was revealed that Angry Birds Birds Activity Park located in KOMTAR, Johor Bahru will be closing down permanently after more than half a decade of operations.
The announcement reads, “Goodbye. All the supports and experiences throughout the 6 years with you guys are greatly appreciated. We regret to inform you that Angry Birds Activity Park Johor Bahru will officially cease its operations on 5th April 2021. Thank you.”
Many people were left astounded upon receiving the sudden news of the park’s closure. Apart from sending heartfelt farewell messages, several netizens also uploaded nostalgic photos of them in sharing their fond memories during their visit to the park.
“This pandemic has brought a big hit to all children playground industry. We hope those who are still there please hang (on), and all the best to those who (are) left … Hopefully, everyone can buck up and get over this soon! Hope we (can) see you again, Angry Bird. Thank you and goodbye,” one FB user expressed.
Thank you Angry Birds Activity Park JB for bringing joy to many families from several walks of life out there. You guys will be missed dearly!
