The Covid-19 virus that has caused a global pandemic has affected everyone in so many different ways; and the most painful thing the virus could do to us is take away our loved ones. Everyone knows someone who has got the virus (if they didn’t get it themselves), or someone who suffered from the lost of a loved one from it.
And for Malaysia, one of the most painful deaths caused by the virus was our beloved singer with spectacular vocals, the late Siti Sarah, wife of the comedian Shuib Sepahtu.
Recently, he has posted a picture of him with his son, Ayash. The father and son picture shows the two of them wearing the same white coloured shirt with Shuib holding Ayash during Ayash’s Aqiqah. However, the peculiar thing was that Ayash wasn’t looking at the camera or at Shuib, but instead the empty seat next to him. Moreover, Shuib’s caption has also gotten netizens talking.
“Ayash, who are you smiling at next to daddy, dear? Alhamdulillah Thank God Ya Allah… Only Allah knows everything. Amin ya Rab” he wrote as a caption under the photo.
The post has gotten netizens speculating that Ayash is looking at his late mother, Siti Sarah, who passed earlier this August. The netizens (including us) are already sad enough from the original post itself, but a Facebook user, Bunga Querida decided to take our sadness up a notch. Bunga has edited the photo to show the late Siti Sarah sitting and smiling next to Ayash. It was as if Ayash was looking and smiling at her.
The edited pictures went viral all over social media, you name it; Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, etc. Even Shuib reposted it on his Instagram account as a video and captioned it: “(She’s) not here, and will never be here anymore. The only thing that is here is a never ending longing.”
This has made Malaysians everywhere all across the internet sad today, including us. May God grant the highest of heaven for her.
