Out of all the shots captured by Rahul, this set of pictures depicts an extremely rare behavior of birds. Last year, he visited a place with ornamental banana bushes to photograph sunbirds sucking nectar. However, what he witnessed was truly unexpected. On one banana flower petal which was filled with water, a little crimson sunbird was taking a bath. The tiny creature was refreshing itself in a pretty floral bathtub created by nature. Rahul quickly captured a series of amazing photos of the tiny bird bathing in the dew.

On his Instagram, Rahul explains how the Autumn in India is hot and humid, but the temperature is pleasant during the night. Dewdrops can be seen in the edges of the grass, flower petals, etc in the morning. Sometimes, water is even stored inside flower petals. Rahul also states that he was stunned by this unusual phenomenon, and therefore, he kept the shutter button of his camera pressed throughout the bird’s bath.
