While Ruby was training to be a service dog, Shauna noted a few changes in her. She noticed that Ruby began to be sensitive towards her heart rate, and even attempted to get her attention. She never left Shauna alone, always staying by her adoptive mama’s side like a guardian angel. Shauna has vascular Ehlers-Danols syndrome, which is a rare heart condition, so Ruby monitors her heart rate and blood pressure.
