Roar Together With Tiger Beer In The Year Of The Tiger

After the disaster that was 2021, it can’t be denied that everyone has been looking forward to 2022. Who can blame us? There’s plenty to look forward to. For starters, Chinese New Year is just around the corner and this year, 2022 is all about the tiger.

Well, Tiger Beer is obviously going to go all out for this special year! They have got a lot of things planned to usher in the year of the tiger. Not only do they have exciting events for you to enjoy, there’s plenty of promotions too.

“The Year We ROAR Together” CNY Campaign

Tiger Beer sparked off their CNY Campaign, The Year We ROAR Together, on Thursday (6th January) to encourage fans to uncage their inner Tiger and reach their goals. The campaign was officiated by Managing Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia Roland Bala and the Management Team. “With all the attractive festive promotions, we are also determined to bring exciting, groundbreaking experiences to our discerning drinkers,” he said. “Let’s raise our glasses and continue to ROAR together and usher in the prosperous year ahead with joy.

Of course, you won’t be alone in uncaging you inner Tiger and reaching your goals. South Korean football icon and official Tiger Brand Ambassador Son Heung-Min is leading the charge for this one. He’s declared his ambition to win a major trophy for his country this year on Instagram and Son is inviting others to do the same.

Events & Attractions

The fun isn’t exclusively limited to the online world however. If you drop by Pavilion KL’s Connection, you’ll find art installations by three different contemporary artists – Thomas Powell, Sheena Liam and Pamela Tan at the main entrance. Each installation was specially commissioned to capture the spirit of the Tiger and inspire fans to “Roar Together”. There are also several game booths for guests to try their luck at and win some exclusive Tiger Beer merch. These activities will be available till 15th February, so drop by to enjoy the festive scene!

That’s not to say other regions are being left out. Various artist have banded together with Tiger Beer to create exclusive “Roar Together” murals in eight different locations. One of them can be found at Kwai Chai Hong in Petaling Street. From 14th till 20th February, Alice Chang and Odd’s “Live Wild & Prosper” installations can be  viewed at Kwai Chai Hong.

Additionally, you can interact virtually with a Tiger and send your own season’s greetings to loved ones. Simply look for QR codes in Pavilion KL’s Connection, limited-edition Tiger Beer cans, the murals and print ads. With a quick scan on the code, you can start up Tiger Beer’s Augmented Reality (AR). Feel free to snap a photo with the virtual Tiger and enjoy watching it wander around through your phone screen.

Tiger Beer CNY Promotions

Several things come to mind when we think about Chinese New Year. One of them would be receiving Ang Pows! While a red packet is the norm, custom Ang Pow packets are always well-received too. And this year, Tiger Beer has a lovely selection of Year of the Tiger Ang Pow packets for fans to collect. These collectible packets are redeemable when fans purchase RM88 worth of HEINEKEN Malaysia products at selected outlets in Pavilion KL. Also, fans have a chance to win Tiger Mahjong sets with two weekly winners from now till 15th February.

Tiger Beer will also be collaborating with Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) to make an NFT (Non-fungible Tokens) collection. Aptly titled The Tiger Archives, each NFT will feature vintage Tiger artwork, drawn fully by hand. Aside from owning them, these NFTs will also bring a series of perks like exclusive merchandise and curated experiences by PMC. The NFT collection will be available starting 25th January and 30% of the proceeds will go to supporting local artists and street food chefs.

Tiger Beer’s campaign and related promotions is only for non-Muslims aged 21 and above. As always, drink responsible and don’t drink and drive. For more information, check out their website, Facebook and Instagram.
